About

A place where women gather… you’re welcome here!

Don’t you love what happens when women get together? I sure do. It feels like alchemy to me. What starts as a book club night often morphs into a therapy session with snacks. Was there a book? We don’t know. But the food was delish, we solved each other’s problems and likely snorted from laughing so hard. Everyone comes in with a burden they’re carrying, or maybe just a hard day, and leaves feeling lighter. More supported and seen. And that’s the alchemy!

But also who doesn’t love a great recipe? Anyone else googling “Does menopause cause…” every 45 seconds? What about when a friend has on a great lip gloss and shares the link? Honestly, girl talk is where some of the best stuff comes from.

That’s the heart behind The Nested Bluff. I’m Kim Kopp. Think of me as the one hosting this get-together. And imagine TNB as my online home where we all hang out.

Which means you might wanna know whose home you’re coming to….

My husband Tim and I met in high school and have been together ever since. I’m a Gen X Aquarius, so that makes me as independent, quirky and allergic to being told what to do as you’d imagine. I’m a retired stay-at-home-mom and recently stepped into the greatest role of Mimi. Our home is complete with our dog, Indy and our cat, Grace (who’s a story of her own for another day). We decided to completely switch our lifestyle a couple years ago. After a lifetime in the suburbs of the Midwest, we moved to the woods of Michigan. It was 1000% the right choice.

Nowadays I’m not hosting the way I used to. But my love of bringing women together hasn’t changed.

So welcome in! Make yourself comfortable. Since it’s my house, I’ll offer you something to drink ~ water, Diet Coke, coffee (my man makes the BEST iced coffee there is, so if that sounds good, he’d love to make one for you) or I can throw on the kettle for tea. And obviously, we need snacks.

Now, come sit down and tell me everything!
